MUDJACKING IS DEAD

6 Reasons You Should Avoid Mudjacking Like The Plague

Regina has serious ground stability issues.  Adding a massive amount of weight through mudjacking just makes things much worse down the road
Mudjacking and concrete injection methods butcher your concrete with a lot of big drill holes that just creates an irreparable eye sore.
Concrete takes time to sufficiently cure which means affected concrete structures like driveways and sidewalks cannot be used until curing is complete.  Our sunken concrete repair method makes your structure or surface ready for use as quick as 30 minutes after the repair job is complete.
Mudjacking costs twice as much upfront as better, more advanced solutions.
Mudjacking almost always results in damage to surrounding landscaping which creates additional costs to you
Mudjacking is noisy, disruptive and dangerous because it typically requires digging and heavy equipment.  Our solution doesn’t.

The Good News Is…

There is a solution that is cheaper, faster, cleaner, safer and infinitely longer lasting than mudjacking…

And it’s perfect for addressing sunken concrete issues in Regina.

Polyurethane Concrete Lifting

THE CHEAPER, QUICKER & EASIER WAY TO FIX SUNKEN CONCRETE

What Is Polyurethane Concrete Raising?

A trained contractor first drills small holes into the concrete slab. Once the holes are in place, specialized, high-density polyurethane foam is strategically injected into the void through the holes and into the void below the concrete surface.  The foam expands and hardens rapidly which lifts and stabilizes the sunken concrete back into it’s original position.  Once the injections are complete and the concrete has been perfectly leveled and stabilized, the drill holes are then refilled with quick setting concrete.  Once this is done, the treated concrete structure is almost immediately usable again.

Spray Pros’ high-density polyurethane injected foam is used for lifting and stabilizing concrete.  Because of it’s capacity to rapidly expand and cure into a material that is incredibly strong, it works great for completely filling the void causing the sunken concrete.  The properties of the polyurethane foam also make it so that the foam actually creates a built-in moisture barrier.

Spray foam jacking is by far the most economical option both in the short term and the long term as compared to concrete replacement or mudjacking.  It also does a better job at preserving the look of your concrete because it requires far fewer and smaller drill holes compared to concrete injection.

Before and After

Why Does Concrete Settle?

The single biggest reason that concrete sinks is because the supporting ground beneath the cement structure settles.  This creates a void and because concrete is so heavy, once the supporting ground settles it won’t take long for the concrete to do likewise.

There are typically 3 main contributors to soil settlement:

Inadequate tamping and compaction of the dirt before or after the building process
Inadequate or improper water drainage to the affected area
Frost heaving and natural settlement

Don’t Replace Your Concrete!

Most of the time, sunken concrete damage can be repaired quickly and easily using polyurethane concrete raising.  It’s also substantially more inexpensive and convenient than replacing the damaged concrete.

INSTANT ACCESS TO THE REPAIRED AREA

After raising and leveling the sunken concrete using polyurethane spray foam, the repaired area can be driven on or walked on in less than 30 minutes

NO COSTLY LANDSCAPING REPAIRS

Unlike concrete replacement, there is no digging, ground displacement or heavy equipment required.  Therefore, you won’t face any additional expenses in replacing or repairing your landscape elements such as grass, flowers, shrubs or trees.

VERY QUIET

The process does not require any heavy equipment or jack hammers and it doesn’t take a substantial amount of time.  The end result is a much quieter operation.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Unlike concrete replacement, there is no digging, ground displacement or heavy equipment required.  Therefore, you won’t face any additional expenses in replacing or repairing your landscape elements such as grass, flowers, shrubs or trees.

R

LOWER RISK OF LONG TERM RECURRING DAMAGE

The settlement of the underlying soil is the number one cause of sunken and damaged concrete.  Concrete weighs 100lbs/cubic foot.  Adding more concrete is a temporary fix with long term consequences.  Especially in an area like Regina.  High-density polyurethane foam is extremely light weight at 2lbs/cubic foot, therefore it will not contribute to future resettlement problems like concrete jacking does.

CONVENTIONAL MUDJACKING BUTCHERS YOUR EXISTING CONCRETE. OUR METHOD DOESN'T.

Conventional mudjacking requires 2″ holes to be drilled in your existing concrete.  Polyurethane concrete lifting only requires holes that are 5/8″.  That’s 400% less.  On top of that, polyurethane concrete lifting only requires 40% of the holes that mud jacking requires.  Add these two factors up and that equals far less damage to your concrete.  In fact, when we’re gone, aside from nice, even and level concrete, you’ll hardly know we were even there.
